Prince Damons Feating Too Short and E-40

This is a hip hop video that we did for Prince Damons featuring E40 and Too Short. Greg Amaro was the DP and Christian Strickland was the director. We shot this video in Oakland, CA and did some pickups in Pleasanton, CA for the E-40 footage. We rented our RED One Camera and did all of the post production editing and coloring including extensive work in Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion and Apple Color. It was amazing what we were able to get out of the RED One camera and how great the latitude is even in low light conditions and run and gun outside shooting.

Too Short
Todd Anthony Shaw (born April 28, 1966), better known by the stage name Too Short (stylized as Too $hort), is an American rapper, producer, and actor. He is best known for his hit songs like “The Ghetto” and “Blow the Whistle”. Too Short is one of the very few musicians to have been able to collaborate with both 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G. during the height of their careers.

Too Short is credited as being one of the pioneer rappers of West Coast hip hop. His rap lyrics are primarily about pimping, drug use, and promiscuity.

E40
Earl Stevens (born November 15, 1967) better known by his stage name E-40, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, and investor from Vallejo, California. He is a founding member of the rap group The Click, and the founder of Sick Wid It Records. He has released twenty-two studio albums to date, appeared on numerous movie soundtracks, and has also done guest appearances on a host of other rap albums. Initially an underground artist, his 1995 solo album In a Major Way opened him up to a wider audience. Beginning in 1998, he began collaborating with more mainstream rappers outside of the Bay Area. He rose to even higher mainstream popularity in 2006 with his single “Tell Me When to Go” which was produced by Lil Jon.
