Music Parody Video

This music parody video project was a whole lot of fun! In the midst of PSY fever we were approached by a company called Blue Kai. Blue Kai is a big player in the Advertising Tech Sector. This means that they deal with web marketing data. It may not be the sexiest of topics. That was the reason they came to us to help make a great parody of the smash hit song with new lyrics that better fit their company. We shot it all in one day on the Canon 5DmkII. It was directed by Punit Dhesi, produced by Ro Leon and Jeff Smith was the gaffer.

If you recognize so of the backdrops there is a reason. We went in front of iconic fortune 500 companies to shoot. This big companies all work with Blue Kai. We used the Blue Kai employees as dancers and characters. Even some of Blue Kai venders sent us their footage to cut in. This has to be one of the funnest projects we have shot. We have since shot one other music parody video.

BlueKai is a cloud-based big data platform that enables companies to personalize online, offline, and mobile marketing campaigns. BlueKai was acquired by Oracle on February 24, 2014, for around $400 million. Originally, BlueKai was created in 2008 by Omar Tawakol, Alexander Hooshmand, and Grant Ries, beginning as a marketing tech start-up based out of California.

On February 24, 2014 Oracle announced that it signed an agreement to acquire BlueKai to extend the world’s largest Marketing Cloud with the leading Data Management Platform to personalize marketing programs and customer experience.
